Add a property

Add a home by its address and postcode, find the address from the postcode.

Updated 18 October 2026

Each home starts with its address, added on Properties. Its tenancy, deposit and certificates go in on the property’s own page after that.

  1. On Properties, tap Add Property at the foot of the screen. With no property yet, tap Add Your First Property instead.
  2. To look the address up, type the postcode under Postcode to find the address and tap Find Address.
  3. Choose the address from the list and tap Use This Address. Check what it fills in, and change anything that isn’t right.
  4. To type it yourself instead, tap Type It In Yourself and fill in Address. The first line is enough.
  5. Add the Postcode if it isn’t there. It matches certificates to this property.
  6. Add the number of Bedrooms if you like, with 0 for a studio.
  7. Tap Add Property. The property’s page opens, ready for its tenancy.

Find Address can be used a set number of times a day. Once that’s used up, the app says so, and you type the address in yourself.

How many properties you can add

No account can have more than 50 properties, on any plan. When you reach that, the app says so, with the support address.

While paid plans aren’t on sale, that is the only limit.

On Standard and Extra

You can also set up a property with its tenancy and certificates from their documents, with Add from Documents under Add Property.

In the sample, Find Address finds only the sample’s own made-up postcodes.
