Find your way round the app
The three tabs, what red lines, clocks and ticks mean, The Law and the (i) button, the More menu, and the text size.
Updated 24 October 2026
The app has three tabs: Properties, People and Account. Ask and the Reminders bell are at the top of the screen.
Properties
Each property has a card: its address, a red number counting its emergencies and its rent and legal dates, and up to three lines on what it needs. On a calm day, the screen says there’s nothing to look at.
While Set up has a step to do, its row is at the top, saying how many steps are done. Below the cards come any emails not filed to a property yet and, at the foot, Add Property.
A property’s page
- Tap a property’s card.
- Tap an area to open it: Tenancy, Evidence file, Certificates and alarms, Notices and letters, Tenant’s page and WhatsApp, House guide, Documents from your email or Pet requests. Some show only once the home has a tenancy.
At the top of a home with a tenancy, Record Conversation adds a call, visit or message to the evidence file. Ring your tenant’s name rings the lead tenant from your own phone, where their number is recorded. Below come the things to look at, then Rent and Repairs under This home, then the areas.
People
People has a card for each tenant, with their property and what’s waiting from them, such as rent to answer. Below them, Trades opens your trades, with Add Trade.
Account
Under All your properties are Rent, Repairs and Emails and documents, for every home together. Then come your own settings, under Settings: You, Notifications and this phone, Repairs and tenants’ settings, Trades, Text size and the rest. Each row is named as the screen it opens.
Red lines, clocks and ticks
A line in red, with a clock, is late or needs you now. A clock in black means it’s due soon. A tick means it’s in hand.
To see why, tap The Law under the item. It says what the rule is and where it comes from.
Where you see an (i) button, tap it for the detail behind that line.
The More button
Each card has one main button. Its other actions are under More, the button with three dots. An action whose name ends in “…” opens a form.
Change the text size
- Go to Account, and under Settings tap Text size.
- Choose Smaller, Standard, Larger or Largest. The change shows at once, on this device only.
